About the Role
As Senior Backend & DevOps Engineer for the G3M platform, you will manage the server side of our stack. You will set up and maintain the infrastructure required to host our games and apps, manage deployments, and keep everything reliable and secure. You will work directly with the founder, helping turn prototypes into production-ready services, including matchmaking, user accounts, real-time APIs, and data storage. You’ll help choose technology and hosting (VPS, containers, cloud services) with a focus on simple, robust solutions that we can scale as the project grows.
Requirements
Senior backend & DevOps engineer with strong experience in Linux servers, Docker, and basic orchestration; proven track record deploying and scaling game or web app backends (WebSockets, REST APIs, real-time services); solid skills in at least one backend stack (Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or Python) and databases (PostgreSQL/Redis); comfortable setting up CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and basic security hardening; confident enough to lead technical decisions and mentor less experienced developers.
About the Company
G3M is an experimental games, apps, and experiences project exploring a futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired ecosystem. We are building our own small platform to host prototypes, tools, and interactive experiences, and we want to do this the right way – with a clean, reliable backend foundation that can grow over time.
